With a strong drive to help others and support those in need with a basic human right - a nutritious meal; Lars is keenly aware that after getting to know and understand various aspects of the food industry, the fact is simple...”no child in this country should ever have to go a day without food.”

For the past six years, Lars has worked in the specialty foods industry where he truly discovered his devotion for food. Passionate about learning and helping those around him succeed, Lars collaborates with a diverse group of customers and colleagues, conducting product trainings, in-store customer education and working and learning with some of the world's best cheese makers. As a solution provider to retailers across the country, Lars utilizes his experience in the deli industry and in research to identify product gaps and create solutions that impact sales growth. Lars attended the University of Iowa, Tippie College of Business, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and a Certificate in Entrepreneurial Management. 

 As a member of the American Cheese Society, Lars enjoys teaching his customers and anyone who will listen about the wide world of cheese. Leisure time for Lars is enjoyed hiking, biking and skiing, as well as exploring new local neighborhoods and restaurants with wife, Lily. A flank steak with chimichurri sauce is a culinary indulgence of Lars... “there is nothing like a great homemade chimichurri - it never lasts long, as I put it on just about anything!”
